April also brought us another major event for our family. Ceara's Nana (Travis' Mom, Carol) brought her sister, Arlene; Niece, Sarah; and Friend, Mavis to visit us here in Salvador and to meet Ceara in person for the first time. It was great having them all here, helping with Ceara and enjoying the sites of our city. Poor Travis spent three weeks in a house filled with girls, but he managed and even enjoyed it a lot. It was great for Ceara to meet her Nana. Nana loved carrying her, holding her, kissing her and playing with her, we know that she misses her a lot now that she has returned to Regina. Ceara loved her Nana and can't wait to see her again when we come on furlough. We enjoyed sharing Ceara with the ladies and taking them to all the sites in Salvador. We went everywhere and never stopped, Ceara was good the whole time, everywhere we went people wanted to see her. Thanks for coming, Nana, Arlene, Sarah and Mavis, we had so much fun. While they were here Ceara also learned to do a few new things, the major one is that she learned to crawl. She also learned to pull up on the furniture, what a smart girl. It was great that Nana was able to see a first for Ceara. We worried about the grandparents missing some of the firsts but it seems Ceara is willing to do some of them while they have been around. It is so great to be able to have family come and visit us, we have been so lucky. And since our furlough is still awhile away, this has been good for us as it has been more than two years since seeing family. Thanks for the visit Nana, see you in a few more months.
