First Women's Ministry Event Feb 25th, 2007 8

This past Sunday we had our first women's ministry event inviting all the women to remain after service for lunch and something special. We had about twenty women stay afterwards to enjoy getting to know each other better over lunch and dessert. Afterwards we handed out surveys to get an idea of things, topics, events that they may like to do for future times and more importantly how often and what days are easier for the majority of them to get to the building. We are excited to work through those surveys and find something revelant to share on our next special time together. After our surveys we completed, Val began speaking to them about being evangelistic women and that we sometimes are afraid or don't know what to say when we meet new people or are with friends and family who do not know the Lord. We then made bracelets together to help us remember the kinds of things that we can tell others. Our sins, God's grace, His sacrifice, Our hope, His Victory and so on. All the women loved this simple example and reminder to help them when they are sharing the Gospel to someone they know needs the Lord. The women loved the time together and our simple message and are even more excited for future times together. Praise the Lord for the women in our church and for those that this time together will touch and change their lives.
