Saying Goodbye to Candace

Saying Goodbye to Candace

Well Sunday was Candace's last day in Salvador with the Let's Start Talking group. Here we are at the airport saying our goodbyes. We didn't know for sure if Candace would be able to make her flight through Varig as there has been a shift in the company and they have cancelled many of their flights. Candace's flight to Canada was to leave monday night and we didn't know how she would make it. Luckily, on Sunday afternoon, Candace caught the only Varig flight to Sao Paulo that day. It was good that she was able to make her international flight but at the same time, our team was hoping she would have to stick around for the last two weeks of the LST project. Oh well, I am sure that Kerry, her husband is glad to have her back home. We had a blast with Candace here and it isn't quite the same without her. Don't worry Candace, the others have been able to catch the right bus two days in a row without you. We of course loved having some Canadians here with us to be able to talk all about home with them. Candace even said that when we come back I am allowed to live with her and Kerry, sleep in one of the many hammocks she took home with her and eat her baking and watch her movies. I'm all set for furlough next year, haha. We of course would love to have more of our Canadian friends and family come down to visit us or do a campaign like Candace did, it was so much fun and a great help to the work here. Of course we expect Candace to come again but this time bring your husband too. We love you Candaceeeeeee!
