Messias Baptism

Travis has been studying with a man named Messias, which is Messiah in English. He has been coming to our church for awhile with a friend, Ida who brought him. After a few studies it was obvious to Messias that he wanted to not only share the name of our Saviour but also to share in his life and death by being baptised into Christ's family. So on Easter Sunday we celebrated with
him as he dedicated his life to Christ. The hard thing about that Sunday is that it was down pouring with rain, so much that it was hard to hear Travis preach. By the end of service it was still raining pretty bad but everyone waited about 20 minutes till the rain let up and then everyone headed to the beach to watch the moment that Messias had been waiting for. It was a special time as we celebrated as a group not only Easter and the ressurection of our Lord but also to see Messias own live changed as he rose from the waters to join our church family in celebration of Christ's life in us. I know Ida was so glad to watch her friend commit his life to Christ. Praise God for his work in our lives and especially in the life of Messias.
