New Apartment

We are back in Brazil, after a long furlough and some days of rest to come back to a new apartment. As some of you may have heard, the day before leaving for our first furlough we moved apartments. We only had enough time to move everything into two rooms, make sure that the cats had someone to take care of them, put up a bed for a night of sleep then leave early the next morning for furlough. It was a crazy move and we knew that it would mean some work when we got back. After returning back to Brazil we were dropped off at our new home, it was neat to think that this is where we would be living, it was a much quieter area of the city and many new things to see and explore. After a few days of rearranging the furniture so that everything (well almost everything) fit, we were excited to finally call this our new home. We even finally got up some of the stuff on our walls, this always makes it seem more like home to me. However, we still only these past few days got Ceara’s room fixed up. We had a double bed in her room, with a pack-n-play and all her toys. We realized that this was not really going to work in order to give her some space to play, so we unhooked the double bed and moved it to storage and put out some play mats so now she has lots of space to play. We also think that eventually we will get a small toddlers bed for her once she has outgrown her pack-n-play. She definitely likes her new space. Along with rearranging we have had to do some moving of bills and getting telephone service and hopefully soon internet service. One thing that is different about moving in Brazil is that everything like t.v, phone, internet, electricity and all that takes a lot longer to change over. Luckily we have team mates that have let us use their internet especially to stay in contact with home. Our home also has been great as there are lots of kids for Ceara to play with and the people here are much more open to hearing the reason why we are here in Brazil. In fact, within the first week we have been able to invite a neighbor and her sister to our church and they seem very interested. We feel like this has been a good move for us and our work here. Please be in prayer for us as we try to minister to the people in our apartment complex.
