Fruit Spread

Fruit Spread

We just wanted to show everyone the selection of fruit that is available to us almost everyday. Well not exactly in the spread that you see above but in the stores we have many fruits to choose from. We have learned how they are eaten and how you can make them into fruit juices. My favorite is goiaba, it is a green or sometimes yellow. It is in between the size of a tennis ball and a ping pong. The inside is pink with yellow seeds. Many people do not eat this fruit straight up but the make it into juice. I just made some today. Travis, however, likes maracuja, it is the size of a tennis ball, yellow on the outside but looking like it is almost rotten. Inside is also the part that you use to make juice. It has little black seeds that are covered in a juicy orange colored goop, (better than it sounds) and tastes kind of tart. Of course there are lots of other fruits that we enjoy but those are just two of our favorites. Len is going to love eating the fruit here when he comes. We are excited to share these new fruits with anyone who decides to come down here to visit.
