Women's Day - Meditation

We had our third women's day at the end of April. Twenty women came for lunch and a class on the spiritual discipline of Meditation. Mary led the class and then gave the women some things they could do at home to practice for this next month. After the lesson, explaining this and ways we can meditate on God's word and strengthen our personal relationship with God we spent about forty minutes practicing meditation together as a group. We went into a dark room with only two candles pretending we were prisoners with no Bibles or songbooks. We let God's word speak as we recited passages we have memorized and sang songs to God. It was a great time and God moved the hearts of many of the women. The next spiritual discipline we will learn about is prayer, this will be led by Jennifer at the end of May.
