Church Christmas Picnic

The one thing about living in the tropics during Christmas time is that we can still have barbeques and not freeze to death. So taking advantage of our weather we decided to have a church Christmas picnic. We went to the Parker's house where they live close to a big field and park area. We barbequed meat and had rice and beans on the side. In the morning at worship service we had about 85 in attendance and then out at the picnic we had more than a hundred people come. A lot of our members invited friends and family that would otherwise not come to church. It was a great time, we had games and visiting. Travis also led a devotional before everyone left. It was a really great time and of course there is talk of another one in the near future. Then there is also the followup work to be done with the visitors, more Bible studies and visits. Praise God for the work He is doing in this city, with our members and this church.
