Week 20- Half way there!

First Pregnancy- Week 20
Originally uploaded by Brazil Bean Brewed.

Here I am at the end of week 20, definitely looking a little bigger. I have officially hit the 4 pound mark of weight, pretty good for half way. Now my belly is looking a lot more round, instead of chubby. Although, I can still wear all the clothes that I used to before I was pregnant, which has been great. I also can still wear somethings and people have no idea that I am pregnant. Hopefully, the little amount I have gained so far will make it easier to lose the weight once the baby comes. I went to the doctor again yesterday and she checked everything out, listen to the baby moving and checked my blood pressure which was a little high but nothing to worry about. She also ordered another ultrasound for the end of the month to see all of the baby's organs and make sure they are developing right. This is the best thing about having a baby in another country, I know that if I was in Canada I would not be able to have as many ultrasounds as we are getting to have done here. I am excited to see the baby moving around again because this time I will likely be able to feel it move and kick when the ultrasound is being done. Yesterday was also a strange day for me as I had obviously eaten something bad the day before and was having trouble keeping any food down. Everything the doctor told me to eat to help with my upset stomach came right back up, yucky. I was finally able to hold my supper down and am feeling almost back to normal today. I also had the strangest dream which seemed so real that I woke up in the middle of the night with my heart racing. It was about having our baby, but people trying to buy our baby from the hospital and the nurses trying to pass off another baby to us, it was crazy but when I woke up the baby kicked inside of me and I was relieved to have found it really was only a dream and my baby was still inside of me. It is amazing how much more real dreams seem when you are pregnant, with all those hormones playing tricks on your mind. Anyway, this is just a few things that have been going on in the last few weeks. I also have started to feel the baby move, not much but enough to know it is the baby. Every day the kicks get a little stronger. It is a weird feeling, sometimes it feeling like a little punch but most of the time it feels like someone is sliding their finger along the inside of my belly. Fun feeling to finally know that you do have a little someone growing inside of you, what a miracle. We are also excited that the Parker's are coming back from their furough tomorrow and along with them they are bringing some things we asked for the baby. Like a bed, highchair and bouncy chair. It will begin to feel more like this is reality when we finally have some pemanent objects around that only scream baby. We get more excited as time gets closer but of course we start to ask all those questions too of are we going to be good parents, what things will change, how are we going to take care of a baby, do we know what we are doing and more. But God continues to reassure us that He will take care of us and give us the tools and strength we need to take care of the baby he is blessing us with. Please continue to be praying for us and our baby.

Hi Alicia,

You can never really be prepared much as you try, a baby is a beautiful, amazing thing. Babies help grow wonderful people. Praying for you as you are on this journey.

You look great! and your cute little tummy--awesome that you haven't had to gain too much weight. I love the baby clothes and can't wait to see the brazilian outfit!
