Travis and I began a new tradition this year for Christmas. We spent Christmas morning and afternoon sitting at the beach. Since we were missing all the snow and the cold we decided that the best way to defeat our sadness from missing the past that we would start a good new tradition. Why not do the opposite of staying indoors by a warm fire in the fireplace? The beach, as opposite as you can do in warm weather Brazil. After opening our gifts that family sent to us and our own gifts, we headed to the beach along with the Parker family to enjoy the warmth and sand. We had a blast as there were not very many people out on the beach during the holiday, so we had lots of space. Travis got to use his new rackets that I got him, a game called ‘fresca bola’, which he really loved. We took the kids to the ocean and played in the waves, made sand castles and sipped fruit juice. A great new Christmas tradition.
